This Sunday we’re launching into a brand new conversation on Sunday called Get Fin Healthy. We’ll be walking through how anyone can have the greatest intentions in the world, but if they aren’t intentional with finances it’ll be difficult to experience the joy of a generous life. Invite a friend and join us as we break down the role of money in life.
And we’re not going to leave you hanging! Build on what we learn in Get Fin Healthy by joining a new round of Financial Peace University (FPU). Classes begin the week of January 24th with flexible time and location options to fit your schedule. FPU is where you’ll hear lots of powerful information and learn practical ways to be more intentional with money.
In the meantime, we know you might have questions. Here are some answers!
What is point of Get Fin Healthy and FPU?
Most of us want to impact the world around us — we want to be able to help our friends when they’re in need or to give more freely to certain causes. But very few of us are positioned for impact. We have the greatest of intentions, but because of the way we interact with money, we’re not positioned to do this well.
Who is FPU best suited for?
No matter where you are in your finances, FPU is for you. For some of us, it’s about getting out of debt. For others, it’s about planning for the future or managing the tension between saving and giving. Some might already be on the right track and this is a way to further expand your impact or share that knowledge with your community.
Plus, it’s a great way to learn what the Bible actually says about money. Wherever you are, there’s something to gain by taking FPU. And it’s a course for everyone — you don’t have to be a “numbers” or “spreadsheets” person.
How much will I need to share about my finances in FPU?
Only what you’re comfortable with. While there is a discussion component each week, that part of the class serves simply as a way to dive deeper into the lesson. You’ll never be asked to present your budget or divulge other personal details about your finances to the group.
